Stakeholder Engagement Advisor

Regen Strategic’s Stakeholder Engagement Advisor, Belinda Charman, is an energetic communications and engagement professional with a background spanning journalism, communications and policy analysis.

Belinda is passionate about the power of effective storytelling and its role in driving positive change, particularly through the strategic use of digital platforms in today's media landscape.

Working for several years within Federal Parliament sparked her keen interest in policy development, particularly in relation to climate adaptation and energy. She has also actively contributed to political campaigns, including those in key swing seats and to the Yes23 campaign as part of the Australian Indigenous Voice Referendum, demonstrating her commitment to civic engagement and policy advocacy. Belinda has also worked with media organisations and in the not-for-profit sectors.

Belinda holds a Bachelor of Communications and Media with Distinction from the University of Notre Dame. During her studies, she was awarded a New Colombo Plan Scholarship which enabled her to undertake an intensive study unit in Fiji. This research focused on critical issues such as climate resilience and women's rights in regional areas of the Indo-Pacific. She also partnered with a pioneering feminist media organisation to develop a communications strategy which furthered their mission of amplifying women's voices and advancing gender equality in the Pacific region. Whilst in Fiji her work was published in the national newspaper, the Fiji Times, underscoring her ability to communicate complex topics to diverse audiences.

Belinda is excited to work at ReGen, particularly when she can help organisations deliver projects that positively affect people and the planet.
