Dr Ali Mollinger-Sahba is Associate Director, Social Impact at ReGen Strategic and a seasoned social impact specialist, with more than 16 years of diverse experience across public, corporate and not-for-profit sectors.

Ali’s expertise lies in social data evaluation and reporting, developing and implementing social performance strategies, conducting social impact assessments, and supporting compliance with international social performance standards.

She strongly believes in the essential role of meaningful engagement in building positive relationships to create business value and deliver effective solutions to complex social and organisational challenges.

In previous roles in business and social performance strategy, governance and research, Ali has provided strategic and technical advice on complex and impactful projects for leading Australian mining, energy and community service organisations. Her extensive publication record reflects her commitment to thought leadership on social impact related topics such as social innovation, social performance management and social investment.

Ali’s journey in social impact began as a policy and compliance coordinator at homelessness services organisation St Bart’s, which led her to complete a PhD on Australia’s social impact investment market from the University of Western Australia Business School, where she also lectured in relation to international frameworks and standards for social performance, community and not-for-profit leadership and governance, social finance and public policy.

Ali’s early career provided her with a solid foundation in governance and assurance processes including risk management, compliance management, grievance reporting systems and investigations.     

Immediately prior to joining ReGen Strategic, Ali was a Certified Technical Principal consulting to the mining and energy industries with global engineering firm WSP.

Ali is a member of the Australian Evaluation Society and the International Association for Impact Assessment.
